Jennifer’s background.

Jennifer prefers using the term extra-ability: A person who has adapted to overcome physical, mental, or circumstantial limitations and therefore forged strength and abilities within themselves.

Born with partial limbs, Jennifer has navigated life through challenges that sometimes seemed impossible. Through faith in God and the encouragement of friends, she has persevered and become an accomplished woman.

In 2011, Jennifer started a motivational speaking business SHIFT.  Drawn from her own experiences with bullying, her first pro-inclusion campaign was The Power of Words– an anti-bullying campaign designed for schools that demonstrates to students the power behind words and how they affect their peers and themselves. She continues to share this message today. The year 2013 held a great blessing when she became Ms. Wheelchair Washington and Ms. Wheelchair America in 2014. From her life experience, a pageant platform, “Inclusion Revolution” was birthed. Her journey unfolded to Making Dreams Come True, founded in 2015, a non-profit organization providing advocacy and life resources for people with extra-abilities.  Jennifer won an award for her Power of Words campaign through the Miami Dade school district in 2016, recognizing her accomplishments of reaching youth throughout the USA with this campaign.

She has been a guest speaker for universities, schools, businesses, and conferences.

Like everyone, Jennifer has spent several years finding her new normal, as the crucible of global social challenges taught her an even greater understanding of what it means to know your purpose and live it authentically. This season, digital platforms were created for all her services and to keep up with her 12,000 social media followers.

In 2023, Jennifer authored, illustrated, and self-published a Childrens’ book, The Word Star. Illustrations for the book were painted with her mouth. This book shares a message of kindness for youth.

After much reflection, Jennifer has decided to go into ministry full-time. Awaken Ministries Training is her newfound passion, and she will provide prophecies and teaching to awaken the Bride and the Church.

As someone who appears very different from others, the question is, who am I? This question has fueled Jennifer’s passion for personal identity. Her identity in Christ is her testimony and ministry. She just released Awaken Your Identity, Book 2, of the identity series.

In July of 2024, Jennifer became the Editor and Chief of Good News Tacoma Magazine. A gently faith-based digital, publicatication sharing wholesome, positive, and encouraging stories in the Tacoma Community.

Jennifer is available for speaking engagements as a guest speaker for churches, Christian schools, colleges, radio interviews, news and media spots, faith-based podcasts, Etc.
